What is On-Page SEO – If you have even a little knowledge of SEO, you will know that Google or any search engine ranks any website based on 3 methods, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, and Technical SEO.
You may know this, or even if you do not, then let me tell you that Google releases most of its algorithms based on On-Page. If you do not know what Google Algorithm is, then let me tell you that an algorithm is a set of rules which is created by Google. By following this any website can be on the first page of search engines.
Because Google sees whether any website is following the algorithm created by it or not and if it is not, then Google downgrades the ranking of such website from the Search Engine Result Page.
For example, you must know that we should always write unique content on our website, so this is also a rule of On-Page SEO, if not followed, our website does not rank. In this way, there are many important factors of On-Page that we must follow so that our website can rank on the first page on the Search Engine results page.

On-page SEO refers to things in the website like Content, Title Tags, Header Tags (Headings), and many ranking factors which when corrected or followed can help our web page rank in Google.
In this process, we have to fix the internal things of our website so that when Google’s spider reads our content, it does not find any flaw in our web pages and matches them with the SEO factors directed by the search engine so that our website pages can rank in Google.
In On-Page SEO, we have to work on many factors of our website. You should know from the name (On the Page) that “ON THE PAGE” means that we work on the page and improve (enhance) the pages of our website and improve our website in various ways.

Watch this video for more information about On Page SEO and its techniques.
Difference Between ON-PAGE SEO and OFF-PAGE SEO:
In On-Page SEO we optimize (improve) individual pages of our website and keep in mind several On-Page SEO Factors, we fix the pages of our website and make SEO-friendly pages.
Through Off-Page SEO we get backlinks from other websites which increases the authority of our website and in Off Page SEO we do not have to work on our website, rather in this technique, the ranking of our web pages increases in the Search Engine Result Page through some other website and at the same time the authority of our website increases due to the backlinks received from other websites.
In simple terms, in On-Page we have to work on the pages of our website and optimize them, whereas in Off-Page SEO we do not have to work on our website, in this, we have to get backlinks for our website from other websites and by getting quality backlinks, the ranking of our web pages increases in the search result page.
How to do On-Page SEO?
On-page SEO includes all those techniques that we use to fix our web pages and can make them SEO-friendly so that the ranking of the website can be improved on the search engine result page.
In On-Page SEO, we have to work to improve the internal structure of the website and the quality of the content so that the users who enter our website get maximum value and get as much good information about the query searched by them.
As the structure of the website is made on HTML, then we have to fix all the HTML of the pages of our website like WordPress is a Content Management System platform. Where you can easily launch the website by creating your website and even if you do not have knowledge of HTML it, still you have to fix only the normal text, due to which the HTML gets fixed automatically.
There are many factors of ON-Page SEO on which we have to work so that maximum organic traffic comes to our website. If seen, On-Page SEO has the highest contribution in getting organic traffic or ranking of the website.
You must have seen that many websites are ranking without any backlinks because their on-page SEO is very strong and they have optimized on-page SEO very well.
Now think to yourself that of course you have written very good content and created a lot of backlinks. But if you do not put a title relevant to your content and it does not contain your targeted keyword, then will the users who search enter your website after seeing the title of your web pages?
You must also know that any user enters any website after seeing only two things, the first Title, and the second Description.
Whenever you search for something on Google, you must also click on one of the many websites after seeing the Title and Description of the website, due to which you must be thinking that you will get the answer to the query asked you.
So if you have not optimized your Title and Description properly, then will people click on your website this also happens ON THE SITE which is a part of On-Page, so in this way, your website will not be able to get traffic even if it ranks.
To do On-page SEO, you should know about the factors of On-page SEO so that you can fix those things according to SEO factors. When you know about On-page SEO factors, then you will be able to fix those things easily.
As I told you in the paragraph above if your keywords are not in your Meta Title, then users will not feel that they will be able to get the answer to their query from your website, so you will have to put your Targeted Keywords or Keywords Phrase in the Title.
These are very important factors of On-page SEO. Similarly, there are many other important factors of On-Page SEO, which I will tell you about some important factors in On-page SEO Techniques.
Although there are many different SEO factors of On-Page SEO, which are optimized for good ranking, I am sharing with you some main important On-Page SEO factors so that you can optimize your website and these will help a lot in ranking.
- Keyword Research
- Title Tags
- Header Tags Optimization (Headings)
- URL Structure
- Keyword Density
- Alt Tag for Images
- Meta Description

- Content Duplicacy
If your website is on WordPress then you can also install Yoast SEO or Rankmath SEO Plugin which will help you a lot in doing On Page SEO. In Yoast Plugin, all these parameters will automatically tell you whether you are doing right or wrong and will give all the information about what improvement can be made.
If you optimize any factor properly, it will show a Green Sign and if it needs improvement, it will show Orange Sign and if it is not optimized properly, it will show a Red Sign.
Apart from these, there are many On-Page SEO factors on which we can work but these are the main ones that need to be kept right. So let’s see what are these On-Page SEO factors and how to optimize them.
On-Page SEO Techniques:
Let’s see in detail what are important On-Page SEO techniques mentioned above and what needs to be done in these SEO factors so that our website can rank in the search engine. Let’s know all the On-Page SEO factors one by one and understand how to do On-Page SEO stepwise.
1. Keyword Research:
Keyword Research is a process through which we research targeted keywords for our post on which we want to rank our website. For example (many people must be searching in different ways to know about On-Page SEO like someone must be searching On-Page SEO Kaise Kare.
That is why we must research our target keyword and write our content accordingly. This is the most important factor of On-page SEO because only when you know the keyword, you will be able to advance On-page SEO and rank your content by optimizing it with the targeted keyword.
2. Title Tags:
Title Tag is the first thing that a user sees after searching a query and by looking at the title, the user decides whether clicking on a particular website will answer the query asked by him or not, and by looking at the title, the user clicks on the website.
That is why, from the SEO point of view, the title tag should contain the keyword on which we want to rank our web pages, because keyword is the term that describes your entire content in just a few words.
That is why we should keep our title such that users find it attractive and enter the website after seeing the title. We should use our keywords or keyword phrases in our title.
3. Header Tags Optimization (Headings):
Header Tags mean headings – the headings you see are mostly about our main keywords or are sub-parts of the topic of the main keywords, so we should use targeted keywords or keyword phrases in the headings so that Google can understand which keyword you have targeted.
And about which particular topic the entire content is written. That is why we should try to use our keywords and keyword phrases in some headings.
Along with this, header tags should also be used very well like there should be only 1 H1 in the entire article and then it should be used between H2-H6.
We should also take care of headings and always write sub-topics of the main topic and write in proper headings if you write the main topic in H2 then write its sub-topic in H3.
Use headings properly in this way and also use keywords properly in headings.
4. URL Structure:
We know URL Structure as a Link in a common language. According to On Page SEO, we should keep Keywords in the URL of our Web Pages or some words of Main Keywords must be kept.
Like I am writing on On-Page SEO Kya Hota Hai (What is On-Page SEO) Keyword, so I have written “On-Page SEO” in the URL. Similarly, you must put some words of Keywords in your URL.
And try that your URL should not be more than 4-5 words, that means do not make the URL too long. Put Keywords in the URL and keep it short.
5. Keyword Density:
Keyword Density means how many times you have used your Focus Keyword in a Content, it is called Keyword Density. According to Best SEO Practices, we should use Keywords only up to 3% of the words of our Articles.
If you use a keyword more than 3% times then Google will give you a negative ranking because Google calls it Keyword Stuffing (in common language you can call it Spamming).
Let us understand this through an example, if you write content of 100 words then you can use keywords only up to 3% of 100 i.e. 3 times. So it should be kept in mind that the density of keywords should be less than 3% and not more than this.
6. Alt Tag for Images:
Google’s reader, which is called Spider, reads our published content to know what the content is about, but no search engine can read the images and cannot find out what the images are about and what the writer wants to tell through the images, so for this, we have to put Alt Tag in the images.
In Alt Tag, we write about the images, for example, if the images are about On-Page SEO, then in the Alt Tag of the images, we have to write “On-Page SEO”. In this way, by writing about the images in Alt Tag, we can tell Google or any search engine what our images are about, and only by reading the Alt Tag, the Search Engine’s Reader (Spider) can understand our images.
That is why whenever anyone uploads images, they use Alt Tag in those images.
7. Meta Description:
Meta Description in a way describes our entire content in some characters. As you might have noticed when you search, it is written 1-2 lines below the title, it is called Meta Description.
In Meta Description, we should try to write it in 1-2 lines and also write our keyword in it. Meta Description SEO is very important because the user who searches looks at your Meta Description after the title. That is why write Meta Description in a good and attractive way and also use keywords.
Use keywords in the Meta Description and do not write a Meta Description of more than 50-155 characters.
8. Website Speed:
For some time, the loading speed of the website has become a very important ranking factor in SEO and now most of the websites rank only those whose loading speed is good.
We should fix the speed of our website. If the website is taking more than 3 seconds to load, then it is very important to optimize it.
There are many plugins in WordPress that you can use to increase the speed of your website to some extent. For this, you can use many other WordPress Plugins like Smush Plugin, and WP Rocket Plugin, and optimize your speed.
The website should load in less than 3 seconds.
9. Content Duplicacy:
You must be aware that in the field of blogging, content is called king. For your article to rank, your content must be unique. It should not happen that you copy content from somewhere and use it in your website after making slight changes. This will not rank your website.
That is why always keep in mind that the content should not be copied. It is possible that if you get content written by someone, then he may copy the content from somewhere and give it to you. That is why keep in mind that before publishing it on the website, you must check the duplicity of the content.
For this, there are many online tools through which you can check the copied content. You can use those tools by just typing Plagiarism Checker Tool.
